Poly-Spartic

Diamond Eye Flooring is proud to use the Resinwerks Kinetic™ line of polyaspartic floor coatings. Kinetic™ encompasses three unique fast-dry formulas that have been engineered for superior performance, ease of use, and minimal VOCs.

Ensure a premium finish with longer working times and optimal flow viscosity - all without the use of harsh solvents and high VOCs. Polyspartic topcoats are ideal for Garage Flake Systems and Kitchen applications due to its strong UV and chemical resistance.

Poly-Urethane

Diamond Eye Flooring offers many options for topcoats. PolyUrethane has many of the same abrasion and chemical resistant qualities as Polyspartic while coming in a thin mill application. Polyurethane is an excellent topcoat option to go over Metallic Epoxy Coatings because it comes in a High Gloss or Matte Finish while having the Durability Specifications you demand.

DECORATIVE CONCRETE

IMG_0247_edited.jpg

A diamond polished concrete floor is very time-consuming if done correctly, due to the fact that there are at least six to twelve steps of actual grinding involved. The general rule is to start the initial grinding with a coarse 30/60-grit diamond and finish with a 1600- or 3000+ grit diamond, depending on the exposure level of aggregate and gloss level required. These diamonds are impregnated inside a metal or resin-bonded segment. Typically the diamonds' grit size will double once the first grind has been carried out. The polishing process begins with a 50-grit diamond resin pad instead of a metal segment. When using the resin pads the steps may be 100, then 200, 400, 800, 1600 and finally 3000+ grit. Throughout the process, a densifier is used to harden the concrete surface, which allows the concrete to be polished. A number of densifiers can be used; these consist of lithium, potassium or sodium silicates. In some cases, a grouting chemical is also used to fill in any holes, cracks or imperfections that were exposed from the initial coarse grinding step. The concrete can be also finished with a natural-look impregnating polish guard, which penetrates 2–5mm inside the pores of the concrete to prevent any deep staining from oils and spills. It is also breathable and not a sealer (as a sealer actually totally seals the concrete and does not allow vapor transmission

Stained-Concrete (Acid/Dye)

Acid stain is a translucent, penetrating stain that slightly etches and permanently changes the color of concrete by reacting chemically with the hydrated lime in the concrete.

As opposed to Water or Acetone Based stained or Dye. Which is more of a topical option. Meaning that the color either sits on top of the concrete or slightly penetrates. All options come in a wide range of colors and can be polished or sealed in a high gloss or matte finish.

Industrial Coatings & Striping

Industrial-grade epoxy coatings are those that are designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, chemical spills, and other hazards that are common in industrial settings. These coatings are typically much thicker than standard epoxy coatings and can take longer to cure. However, they offer superior durability and resistance to wear and tear.

Industrial Sealers

Sealers are a liquid coating applied to raw concrete, generally with a brush or roller. Once this additional layer dries, it will act as a shield for the surface. A sealer will absorb the impacts of the inevitable wear and tear of a busy workplace. It will protect against dents and abrasions caused by dropping or moving heavy objects. It will also protect your floor against corrosions from contact with the chemical substances used in many industries.

Generally, industrial concrete sealers are just the first protective layer that you will apply to a raw concrete floor. Above the concrete sealer layer, you can apply additional products to further insulate your concrete surface from the threats particular to your industry. This final layer is known as the topcoat. The topcoat can be composed of acrylics or polyurethane foam, among other substances
